The show, known for its bold humour, premiered in December 2024 and had only aired two episodes before being removed. Additionally, Harsh has made the show’s Instagram account private, which had 34.3K followers. However, he has not issued any official statement regarding his decision.
Samay Raina’s Controversy Sparks Debate
This move comes amid the ongoing controversy surrounding comedian Samay Raina and his show India’s Got Latent. The backlash began after YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia (BeerBiceps), during an episode of the show, allegedly asked a contestant an inappropriate question involving body parts and an indecent proposal. The outrage intensified when he posed another controversial question: “Would you watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life or join once to stop it forever?”
The shocking remark led to massive criticism, with politicians and film personalities condemning the incident. A police complaint was later filed against Ranveer Allahbadia, Samay Raina, and co-judges Ashish Chanchlani, Jaspreet Singh, and Apoorva Makhija. The Supreme Court also took note of the issue, further escalating the matter.
Samay Raina’s Response
Following the controversy, Samay Raina deleted all episodes of India’s Got Latent from YouTube. Addressing the situation during a show in Canada, he said, “Maybe my time is bad right now, but remember, my friends- I am time itself.”
While Harsh Gujral has not commented on his decision, the timing of his move has raised speculation. Fans are wondering if the Escape Room takedown is linked to the ongoing controversy surrounding India’s Got Latent. Whether it’s a precautionary step or an unrelated decision remains unclear.
