New Delhi: Veteran actress Asha Parekh is celebrating her 80th birthday, today (October 2). She recently received the Dadasaheb Phalke Award for the year 2020 at the 68th National Film Awards.
The actress started her career as a child actor in the 1952 film Aasmaan. She played her first-ever lead role in the Shammi Kapoor-starrer Dil Deke Dekho, and since then never looked back ever. She has taken her career in small steps and reached the top of it.

Na Koi Umang Hai

Parde Mein Rehne Do
This song is one of the iconic songs of Asha from the movie Shikar, 1968. The song was sung by Asha Bhosle and the music was composed by Shankar Jaikishan and the lyrics were written by Hasrat Jaipuri.
O Mere Sona Re Sona Re
This is a fun track is sung by Mohammad Rafi and Asha Bhosle. It came from Teesri Manzil in 1966. The music composer and lyricist were RD Burman and Majrooh Sultanpuri respectively.
O Haseena Zulfonwale Jane Jahan
It is another iconic track from Asha Parekh’s Teesri Manzil, the song is sung by Mohammed Rafi and Asha Bhosle, composed and lyricist was done by RD Burman and Majrooh Sultanpuri respectively.
Kaanta Laga… Bangle Ke Peechhe
The original song is from the movie Samadhi in 1972. The original song was sung by Lata Mangeshkar and composed by RD Burman. In 2002, its remix came out by DJ Doll.

It is another memorable song given by Parekh in the movie Aan Milo Sajna in 1970. This iconic song was sung by Lata Mangeshkar and composed by Laxmikant Pyarelal and the lyrics were written by Anand Bakshi.
