Dream Girl 2 teaser Out: Ayushmann Khurrana released the funny teaser for his next movie Dream Girl 2 on Tuesday night, one day before the celebration of Holi on Wednesday. In the teaser, the actor is seen conversing on the phone with a man who sounds exactly like Ranbir Kapoor while playing his “false” character Pooja from the 2019 prequel.

A female voice imitating Alia Bhatt can be heard in the background when Ayushmann’s Pooja flirts with the man on the phone.
She said, “Kis se baat kar rahe ho RK? (Whom are you talking to RK?)”, to which Ranbir replied, “Meri Bhatinda wali bua hai (My aunt from Bhatinda)”.
Next, Ayushmann refers to him as “Jhoothe Makkaar,” making a Holi release-related pitch for Ranbir’s upcoming movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. Ayushmann then tells viewers that his upcoming Dream Girl 2 would arrive on July 7 before the man speaking in Ranbir’s voice continues by promising to display Pooja his colours during Holi.

In the Instagram comments section, online users responded to the humorous promo. Ayushmann’s Pooja was seen conversing with a man who named himself Pathaan and imitated Shah Rukh Khan’s voice in the first Dream Girl 2 trailer. “Full on promotions, pehle Pathaan ab Ranbir Kapoor (First Pathaan, now Ranbir Kapoor),” a netizen wrote.

While sharing his thoughts on the film Ayushmann Khurrana told a media outlet, “I am super stoked about Dream Girl 2! This is my second outing with Balaji Motion Pictures and I am thankful to Ektaa that she has carried this franchise forward and made it bigger.”

About Dream Girl 2
In the movie, Ayushmann Khurrana’s character Karam, a young man from a small town, is striving to lead a responsible life in Mathura. Although he falls in love with Pari (played by Ananya Panday), life is determined to ignore him.
In a twist of fate, Karam changes into Pooja, adding further confusion to his already crazy life. Under the auspices of Balaji Motion Pictures, the movie is produced by Ektaa R. Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor and directed by Raaj Shaandilya.
