Bollywood actress Dia Mirza recently came forward in support of her ‘Nadaaniyan’ co-stars Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor, who have been facing intense online criticism. The young actors who made their debut with this series have been trolled since the film’s release.
Dia Mirza On Social Media Hate
In a recent interview with Bombay Times, Dia Mirza slammed the trolling, stating that the harsh scrutiny was taking a toll on the young actors. She said, “I don’t agree with targeting someone on a personal level. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but a line should be drawn if it starts to affect the mental health of the people involved. They are young actors, and this trend of attacking those who come from privilege is not right.”

Jugal Hansraj Echoes Dia’s Sentiments
Actor Jugal Hansraj who is also in Nadaaniyan, previously shared a similar viewpoint. Talking with India Today, he pointed out how social media has created an unfair environment for new actors. He said, “In the ’80s, many actors started off new, but there was no social media, so they were given time to grow. There was equal awkwardness in all of us, but because of the lack of social media, there wasn’t this unfair scrutiny.”
