CID is one of the longest running shows on television and has been pushing boundaries in terms of storytelling and creativity. The show is back with its second season and the makers are now taking a new step to entertain the audience. The upcoming episode of CID Season 2 will be silent and is titled ‘The Silent Den’.
According to India, the team have used gestures, surveillance footage, forensic evidence and gestures to guide them. The episode will air on Sony Television Channel on Sunday, April 27, 2025.
Talking about shooting a silent episode for the first time, Dayanand Shetty called it creatively fulfilling and challenging. He told India Today, “Shooting a silent episode was both challenging and creatively fulfilling. We had to rely purely on expressions, body language, and the unspoken bond our team shares on screen and off. No words, just instinct — just raw emotion. And that’s what makes this episode so powerful.”
Aditya Srivastava further called filming this episode a ‘completely new experience’. He said, “As an actor, I’ve always believed that the true power of storytelling lies in the ability to evoke emotion without relying on words. And this Sunday’s silent episode of CID pushes that belief to its absolute limit. It’s a completely new experience for us as actors and for the audience. I hope this episode connects with them, not just as a thriller, but as something that stays with them even after.”
CID Season 2 recently went through a major change as the character of ACP Pradyuman, played by Shivaji Satam, was killed in the show. Parth Samthaan joined the show as ACP Ayushman. While speaking to Hindustan Times, Parth talked about why he was hesitant to join CID, He said, “Initially, I rejected the role of ACP Pradyuman because I don’t relate to it. But the makers asked me to reconsider. I was also hesitant due to the show’s long-standing cast and the fact that they’d have to address me as ‘sir’ on screen. It felt a bit unusual and awkward.”
