Amid speculation regarding a demand for Rs 5 crore from Nayanthara for using clips from Chandramukhi in her documentary, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) granted to the actress has surfaced online. The NOC, issued by Sivaji Productions to Nayanthara’s production company, Rowdy Pictures, confirms no financial demands were made.
The document shared by trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan on his X handle clarifies that Sivaji Productions raised no financial objections. The NOC reads, “This is to certify that Sivaji Productions has no objection to the use of the following footage in the Netflix documentary ‘Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale.’”

Legal Tussle With Dhanush
In a related development, Nayanthara recently faced a legal battle with actor Dhanush over the usage of footage from their 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. Despite Nayanthara seeking permission to use visuals from the movie, Dhanush denied her request, sending a legal notice demanding Rs 10 crore in damages.
Dhanush later filed a civil suit against Nayanthara, her husband Vignesh Shivan, and Netflix over the unauthorized footage in the documentary.
Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairy Tale is a Netflix documentary that chronicles the actress’s rise to stardom and her personal journey, including her relationship with Vignesh Shivan. The documentary is currently streaming on Netflix and has garnered significant attention for its behind-the-scenes look at Nayanthara’s life.
