In 1991, Ajay Devgn made his debut in the film industry with ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, where he was paired opposite Madhu. Devgan’s powerful performance in his debut won over audiences, contributing to the film’s considerable success. Arif Khan made a notable impact as the antagonist in the movie. Despite this promising start, Khan’s career failed to gain momentum, despite appearing in several films throughout the 1990s.

Arif Khan portrayed the character of Rocky in Ajay Devgan’s film ‘Phool Aur Kaante’, where his villainous performance garnered significant praise. Following this success, he continued to excel in negative roles in numerous films, collaborating with actors like Sunil Shetty, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar in projects such as ‘Mohra’, ‘Veergati’, and ‘Diljale’.

It’s fascinating to note that Arif Khan expanded his acting repertoire beyond Bollywood to Hollywood as well. He appeared in the 2007 Hollywood film ‘A Mighty Heart’, where he had the opportunity to share the screen with Angelina Jolie.

After dedicating numerous years to his acting career in Bollywood, Arif Khan made the profound decision to bid farewell to the industry and pursue a religious path. Suddenly, he announced his departure from Bollywood and embraced Islam, becoming a preacher of the faith. Amid the Covid pandemic, a video of Arif Khan went viral, showcasing his noticeably grown beard and a transformed appearance, clad in a white kurta. In the video, he expressed his decision to distance himself from the film industry in order to devote himself fully to Islam. Arif Khan has transitioned into the role of a Maulana, imparting teachings of Islam to others, and is leading a simple life, far removed from the glamour of the entertainment world.
