About The Controversy
The Kerala Police’s Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested businessman Boby Chemmanur in connection with a sexual harassment case filed by actress Honey Rose. Reports indicate that Chemmanur was taken into custody in Wayanad and faces serious charges that prevent him from being granted bail. In her complaint, Honey Rose alleged that Chemmanur repeatedly made inappropriate sexual comments towards her.
Following the police action, she expressed relief, saying it was a peaceful day for her. Earlier, on Sunday, Rose had posted on Facebook about being stalked and receiving inappropriate messages through social media. At that time, she did not reveal the individual’s identity, but the situation intensified when people began posting offensive comments on her post, prompting her to involve the police. As a result, the Kochi Central Police opened a case against 30 individuals and arrested one of them based on her complaint.
On Tuesday, Honey Rose identified Boby Chemmanur as the person who had harassed her in a new social media post.”I have filed a complaint with the Ernakulam Central Police Station against your (Chemmanur) continuous derogatory remarks about me. I will take the same action against your supporters who share the same mentality. You can continue to rely on your wealth, but I have faith in the Indian legal system.”
