Audible, the leading audiobook platform backed by e-commerce giant Amazon, has acquired the audiobook rights of the bestselling Indian thriller novel, Nobody Likes An Outsider, published by Kalamos Literary Services.

Earlier this year, Nobody Likes An Outsider was signed by Mumbai based production house, Grandiose Productions to be adapted into a motion picture. Written by short-story writer turned author, Fawaz Jaleel, the book received a largely positive response from the critics and audience. One of the best sellers of the year, the political thriller is narrated by voice artist Satya. The book received rave reviews from the media too with the Times of India stating, “In Nobody Likes An Outsider, Fawaz Jaleels picks the challenging genre and blends its with an investigation-centric murder mystery thereby adding an extra layer of complexity. However as the story unravels itself, the book manages to grip the reader with its powerful plot, bold characterisation, and a well-woven mix of fiction and non-fiction.” The Sunday Guardian reported that “This book promises to have you on the edge of your seat.”

Born in Vilakudy in the state of Kerala, Fawaz Jaleel completed his schooling in the island nation, Bahrain before moving to Madras Christian College in Chennai to complete his graduation followed by his post graduation from Azim Premji University, Bangalore. In the past, the author worked in India and the South East Asian region in public health, communications and marketing including projects managed by the Prime Minister of India’s office, UNAIDS, USAID and Ministry of Health and Family welfare.

The audiobook is available in India and internationally through Audible and Amazon’s global portals. Nobody Likes An Outsider traces the murder investigation of India’s most promising politician and how it is linked to the modern history of the nation. The book is the first of the Yohan Tytler series and was recently acquired by a Mumbai based production house to be converted into a big screen experience.
