In a dramatic turn of events, the family of the 35-year-old woman who lost her life in a stampede has decided to withdraw their case against Tollywood actor Allu Arjun. This development comes just hours after the actor’s arrest by the Hyderabad Police. The family has cited that Allu Arjun had no direct involvement in the unfortunate incident, prompting their decision to drop the case.
While interacting with the media, late Revathi’s husband, Bhaskar, said, “I am ready to withdraw the case. I was not aware of the arrest and Allu Arjun has nothing to do with the stampede in which my wife passed away.”

Following his arrest from his Jubilee Hills residence, Allu Arjun was taken to the Chikkadapally police station for further questioning. His wife, Sneha Reddy and father, Allu Aravind, were also present. Subsequently, he was sent to 14-day judicial custody in connection with the case.
The incident occurred at the iconic Sandhya Theatre in RTC X Cross Roads, Hyderabad. Allu Arjun’s surprise visit to the theatre, accompanied by music composer Devi Sri Prasad, sparked chaos among fans, resulting in the tragic death of a woman.
The deceased’s husband filed a complaint, alleging that the actor and theatre management were responsible for the stampede due to their failure to inform the police about the planned visit. Theatre owners were among the three individuals arrested earlier in connection with the incident.
However, Allu Arjun’s office and theatre officials later produced a letter, which clarified that the police had been informed about the plans for the film’s stars to visit the theatre at 9:30 pm.
