New Delhi: Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are the proud parents of a baby girl. The duo welcomed their daughter on November 6. On Friday, Alia and Ranbir revealed the name of their baby daughter and fans absolutely loved it.
Sharing the first picture of their daughter, Alia revealed her daughter’s name as ‘Raha Kapoor’, which is kept by Ranbir’s mother Neetu Kapoor. In the caption, Alia also mentioned the meaning of her name ‘Raha’.
What is the meaning of Raha?
Taking to her gram Alia mentioned the meaning of her newborn daughter’s name. So Raha means ‘divine path’. Alia further wrote, “The name Raha (chosen by her wise and wonderful Dadi) has so many beautiful meanings…Raha, in its purest form means divine path
in Swahili she is Joy, In Sanskrit, Raha is a clan, In Bangla – rest, comfort, relief,
in Arabic peace, it also means happiness, freedom & bliss. And true to her name, from the first moment we held her – we felt it ALL! ❤️Thank you Raha, for bringing our family to life, it feels as though our lives have only just begun. ☀️☀️☀️.”

The baby girl is not much visible in the picture. Fans were also waiting for the news for a long time. In the picture, Alia and Ranbir can be seen holding piece of their heart close to them and on the wall, we can see a tee written with Raha and pants.
Taking to the comment section, Kareena Kapoor Khan wrote, “Raha Kapoor can I hold you ❤️can’t wait ❤️.” Priyanka Chopra commented, “God bless Raha 😍.” Arjun Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma, among others also gave their love and affection to the trio.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt has Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh. She also has her Hollywood debut Heart Of Stone, co-starring Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan in the pipeline. She will also star in Farhan Akhtar’s Jee Le Zara with Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra.
Ranbir, on the other hand has Animal alongside Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. Kapoor will also be next seen in a film with actor Shraddha Kapoor in Luv Ranjan’s as-yet untitled romance.
