One day after Kartik Aaryan extended a warm welcome to Vidya Balan, referring to her as the “OG Manjulika,” for the third installment of the popular horror comedy franchise Bhool Bhulaiyaa, there appears to be another exciting update.
According to reports, joining Vidya in the star-studded cast of Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is none other than Madhuri Dixit. The report indicates that the team decided to introduce another spirit to enrich the storyline. Consequently, it will be Rooh Baba confronting the two ghosts portrayed by Madhuri and Vidya. The inclusion of both leading ladies on screen for the first time is considered a strategic move by the makers.
Additionally, the report mentioned that the film is slated to commence filming in March. Furthermore, it suggested the possibility of Kartik’s ex-girlfriend Sara Ali Khan replacing Kiara Advani as his co-star in the third installment. However, it emphasized that these discussions are in early stages and nothing has been finalized yet.
Vidya Balan, who portrayed the character of Manjulika in the 2007 psychological horror-comedy film Bhool Bhulaiyaa, is poised to make a comeback to the franchise.
Anees Bazmee, who directed the second installment, will also helm the third part of the franchise. The first installment was directed by Priyadarshan and starred Akshay Kumar alongside Vidya Balan. In the second installment, Kartik Aaryan shared screen space with Tabu and Kiara Advani.
