The debate surrounding the pressures faced by stars in maintaining their looks was triggered when Boney Kapoor made a statement about actress Sridevi’s health. Celebrity trainer Sonu Chaurasia shed light on some of the extreme measures actors resort to for their physical transformations, often at the cost of their health.
Chaurasia shared an instance involving actor Adil Khan, known for his roles in movies like “Special House” and “Shikara.” Khan received a film offer and approached Chaurasia with an ambitious goal—to achieve a six-pack in just 15 days.
Chaurasia explained to him that forming a six-pack takes time and cannot be accomplished in such a short period. However, Khan insisted, so they embarked on an extreme journey to meet his demand. Chaurasia emphasized the importance of planning and gradual progress in fitness.

He stressed that mental well-being is crucial for actors as their bodies can only be in good shape when they are mentally fit. Extreme demands, lack of sleep, and inadequate nutrition can have adverse effects. Chaurasia cautioned against expecting overnight transformations in fitness.
Aamir Khan’s Transformation For Ghajini
Regarding actors’ hesitations about diet and fitness plans, Chaurasia stated that all tests are conducted before proceeding, but extreme demands sometimes require compliance.
He cited Aamir Khan’s transformation for the film “Ghajini,” which took 14 months and involved extreme measures. Aamir, for instance, refrained from drinking water for four days to achieve a specific look. Such practices are carefully supervised by experts.
Typically, a person is advised to consume at least three liters of water daily, but strict diets may limit water intake to as little as half a liter. Aamir’s water intake during “Ghajini” was similarly restricted to enhance muscle definition and sharpness, all under expert guidance.
