NEET UG round 1 counselling 2022: The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has recently added 242 more MBBS seats for National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET UG 2022) round 1 counselling. This news came out when the committee added 197 seats in NEET UG 2022 round 1 counselling.
Earlier, the authority decided to close the choice-filling window for MCC NEET UG 2022 counselling temporarily on October 18 for the addition of these seats. The committee has clarified the information on news seats could not be contributed by the medical colleges before the start of counselling as LoPs from NMC were received on October 17.

According to the new notice, the MCC said, “It has been decided to include the following MBBS seats in the seat matrix of Round-1 of UG Counselling 2022 for the larger interest of candidates. The freshly contributed seats are being added to the seat matrix.”
“Also the seats of NRI Quota in Aligarh Muslim University were not being displayed to the eligible candidate is now rectified. The eligible candidates will now be able to exercise the choice filling on the NRI Quota Seats in Aligarh Muslim University,” it further added.
This year, a total of 242 MBBS seats have been added to the seat matrix. Colleges, that have added seats in round 1 include SIC Medical College & Hospital, Bihta, GMERS Medical College, and Government Medical Colleges in Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh.
