New Delhi: A drunken man was hurling abuses on random people in a market in UP’s Jhansi. On getting the information, the outpost in-charge reached the spot and thrashed the man in  public view. The video of the incident is now going viral on social media.

A case of police brutality has come to light from Jhansi. During this, a policeman can be seen grabbing a young man by his hair and dragging him. He also slaps the drunk man several times.

The incident is being said to be from near Bhushan Talkies. The man was abusing random people and was causing ruckus. Meanwhile, Surendra Kumar Singh, in-charge of Nainagarh outpost of the Prem Nagar police station was patrolling the area. He stopped at the spot and acted accordingly. People in the vicinity made the video of the entire incident which is now doing rounds on social media.

The young man abused the police officer

Surendra Kumar immediately reached the spot after getting information about the matter. On reaching the spot when he tried to take the man along with him, he started abusing him too. The outpost in-charge Surendra Kumar lost his cool and started beating the young man on the middle of the road.

Soon the on-lookers gathered around the spot. Some people made the video of the incident and it started doing rounds on social media. It is being told that the incident happened on the night of Dhanteras.

SSP sent the officer on line duty

After the video went viral, the SSP has shifted the outpost in-charge on line. An internal investigation has bee launched into the matter. As per the witness account, the police official dragged the man by his hair. The SSP later gave a clarification that the officer used force on the youth which is not his legal right.
