New Delhi: Three people died in the building collapse incident that happened on Sunday evening in New Delhi’s Lahori Gate area, police said on Monday.

The two-storeyed building had collapsed on Sunday evening. Three to four people were believed to be trapped under the debris in the incident.

While a four-year-old girl was pulled out dead on Sunday, two more bodies were pulled out later. The deceased have been identified as Khushi (4), Suleman (75) and Shagufta (70), news agency PTI reported quoting police.

A case has been registered under sections 304A, 336, 337, 338 of the Indian Penal Code, Police said.

The roof collapse incident happened at around 7.30 pm and eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot.

The injured were shifted to a hospital and Delhi Police, fire department and NDRF were leading the rescue operation.
