Hyderabad: The Telangana government issued a notice regarding the sub-division of 40 new police stations in Hyderabad on Saturday. With the opening of the new stations, the jurisdictions of police stations in Hyderabad and Cyberabad will alter.
In Hyderabad and Cyberabad, three new DCP zones have been established: the South East Zone, the South West Zone, and the Women Safety Wing. Gandhinagar, Chilaklguda, Osmania University, Trimulgherry, Chandrayanagutta, Saidabad, Golconda, Kulsumpura, Chatrinaka, Jubilee Hills, and SR Nagar are the eleven sub-divisions for Law & Order and one for traffic. According to the new announcement, 11 Law and Order police stations and 13 Traffic police stations have been established.
Six specialised wings would be established in the city, including two Commissioner’s Task Forces, five Women’s Safety Wings, one IT cell, one Hyderabad Narcotics, one Cyber Crimes, and one Secretariat Security unit.
One of the first files state home minister Mohd Mahmood Ali signed after taking up residence in the new Secretariat chambers was the authorization of new police stations in the city.
