‘Sorry… Cant take this stress,’ Junior Doctor allegedly takes overdose of anesthesia, dies
New Delhi: At the Gandhi Medical College in Madhya Pradesh' Bhopal, a junior doctor named Akanksha Maheshwari died by suicide in her hostel room.
Akanksha was doing PG in Pediatric Department from Gandhi Medical College. As soon as the information about the case was received, the police reached the spot, took the dead body in possession and sent it for postmortem and started investigating the case.
As per the media reports, Doctor Akanksha was in her room in the morning when her friend knocked at her room's door in the evening, she did not open. Sensing something wrong, her friends informed the authorities and called the police.
After reaching the spot, the police opened the door and saw that Dr. Akanksha was lying unconscious on the bed. The police found injections of anesthesia from Akanksha's room.
The police is suspecting that Akansha took overdose through injection which caused her death.
Meanwhile, a one-page suicide note was also recovered near the body. In which Akanksha wrote - "I am not so strong, I am not able to bear this much stress. Sorry to parents, sorry to friends too. Thank you for giving love. I am not strong. I am taking this step for personal reasons."
Junior doctor Akanksha Maheshwari was originally from Gwalior and after studying from Gajraraja Medical College, she was currently doing PG in Pediatric Department from Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal. The police have registered a case and started investigating the matter.
