New Delhi: A shocking incident has emerged from the Deoghar district of Jharkhand. Here a minor girl was raped by five people in front of her mother. The information was revealed by a police officer.

Two accused arrested

The officer further informed that two people have been arrested in this regard so far. A special investigation team (SIT) has also been formed by Deoghar police for further investigation in the matter.

The girl and her mother are residents of Dumka district of Jharkhand. They were returning home from a function in Deoghar on Sunday. On their way they were attacked in the Madhupur area informed the Sub-divisional Police Officer B Rout, quoting the FIR filed in the case.

Complaint of gang rape filed 

The complaint was filed by the mother of the girl on Monday. Following this at least two people were detained. As per the FIR, five people apprehended them on two motorcycles. They then took the daughter aside by force.

The five men then raped the daughter in front of her mother. When the mother of the girl tried to intervene, the men started to beat her. To her shock and dismay, the girl was gangraped by the men in front of her mother.

Reports of medical test is awaited

Deoghar Superintendent of Police (SP) Subhash Chandra Jat said the girl underwent a medical test, reports of which were awaited. The police had identified the accused and were on the lookout for the remaining three, he added.
