New Delhi: A shocking case of raping a female cop by trapping her on a matrimonial website has come to light. According to the police, the woman CISF constable revealed that the accused had found her at the matrimonial site and duped her family out of lakhs of rupees by posing as an army major.
Deepak, the accused, was also accused of rape by the female constable. He was apprehended by the Delhi Police Crime Branch in Patna, Bihar.
Earlier, when the Delhi Police team went to Bihar to arrest Deepak a few days ago, Deepak and his 30-40 companions attacked the Delhi Police, and Deepak escaped when given the opportunity.
According to Crime Branch DCP Rajesh Deo, a female CISF constable filed a complaint with Delhi Police alleging that Deepak Kumar met her on a matrimonial website. He referred to himself as an Army Major. Deepak proposed marriage to the lady constable, and their meeting began.
Accused Deepak began visiting the woman constable’s home and then duped the woman constable’s brother out of Rs 28 lakh in the name of getting a job for the woman constable’s brother. When the female constable asked for money, the accused threatened to make their pictures and videos go viral. He blackmailed the woman and then raped her on this basis.
The police began the investigation by filing a FIR, but when the local Bihar Police arrived to arrest the accused, the accused and his associates attacked and Deepak fled the scene. The investigation was turned over to the Crime Branch. The accused was also declared a fugitive by the Delhi court. A large Crime Branch team arrested the accused in Hazaribagh.
