New Delhi: After marriage, the bride reached her in-laws house. But here as soon as the veil of the bride was raised in the ritual of showing her face, there was an uproar. The ground slipped under the feet of her entire family including the groom. The girl whose hand was held by the groom turned out to be someone else. The strange case is from Sambhal district of Uttar Pradesh.
This is what happened
According to media reports, the marriage of Dalchand, who lives in Katauli village of Hazrat Nagar Garhi police station area. His marriage was fixed with a girl from Kaila Devi police station area. The procession reached there with much fanfare. In every marriage ceremony, the bride’s head was covered with a veil. Because of the traditional customs, no one there asked to remove the veil of the bride. Dalchand performed every ritual with the bride. He also promised to be with me for the rest of his life.

Things fell apart when the bride’s face was unveiled
He reached his home with the bride in the veil itself. Here, when the ceremony of showing the face took place, the veil of the bride was removed. As soon as the veil was removed, there was a stir. In fact, the girl with whom Dalchand’s marriage was fixed was not her but her elder sister was made to marry her. She was married to her elder sister under the guise of a veil.
Groom was engaged to the younger sister
The groom alleges that he was engaged to the younger sister. But the marriage was arranged with his elder sister. He is mentally weak. The groom said that if he does not get justice, he will commit suicide. On the other hand, the bride’s side alleges that all this drama is being done to get dowry. Earlier a complaint was made in the panchayat, when the matter was not resolved there, the boy filed a case in the police station.
