Uttar Pradesh: The Secondary Education Department has issued notices to 54 operators regarding the investigation of fire extinguishers in the coaching centres running in Noida and Greater Noida. In the notice, instructions have been given to all the institutions to register by Wednesday. The department has said that action will be taken if the registration is not done at the right time.

The district administration swung into action after the fire incident at the coaching centre in Mukherjee Nagar. On the instructions of the District Magistrate, the District School Inspector has started the action. Under the Uttar Pradesh Coaching Act, it has been made mandatory to register in the District School Inspector’s Office and obtain a no-objection certificate from the Fire Department for running coaching. The position of taking NOC from the Fire Department in these coaching institutes is also not clear.

District School Inspector Dharamveer Singh said that a renowned centre in Sector-62 has been summoned for registration along with fire equipment.
