Punjab: Another blast took place around 6:30 a.m. on Monday at Heritage Street near the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Punjab. One person has minor leg injuries. This is the second crude bomb blast around the Golden Temple in about 36 hours.

There was also a blast at the same place on Sunday, in which one person was injured. The blast took place on Heritage Street near Saragarhi Sarai on the way to the Golden Temple.

Earlier, a police officer had said that the blast may have occurred in the chimney of a restaurant on Heritage Street. He said further investigation is underway. Amritsar police said the situation is under control. The facts of the incident are being probed, and there is no need to panic. Citizens have been urged to maintain peace.
