Uttar Pradesh: In a shocking incident, two on-duty police cops can be seen assaulting a specially-abled man in the Deoria district of Uttar Pradesh. As soon as the incident went viral on social media, Deoria police immediately suspended them from duty and filed a case against them at Rudrapur police station.
In a 2-minute 20-second viral video it can be seen that two jawans allegedly from Prantiya Rakshak Dal (PRD) are captured on CCTV assaulting and verbally abusing a specially-abled man on a tricycle in Deoria.

The video has been tweeted by Samaj Wadi party member, Prasant Kumar Yadav. “The Iqbal of the police has ended in the state!
Will they be fired? This is a dictatorship in which policemen are wreaking havoc on innocent people. @Uppolice thrashed a disabled person in Deoria for asking for water.” he tweeted.

While replying to the tweet, Deoria police writes, “The above two are PRD personnel, who were removed from duty and on the basis of the application received against them, charges are being registered in Rudrapur police station.”
