Odisha: A terrible accident occurred during the annual sports competition of a school on Saturday in Balangir district of Odisha. During the competition, a student sitting on the ground was hit by a javelin in the neck. It passed through the neck of the Class IX student. The student has been admitted to the hospital in critical condition.
Officials said that student Sadananda Mehar is now out of danger. He said that there was a sports meet in the school and this unfortunate incident happened. We are relieved that the child is out of danger.
The incident is of Agalpur Boys High School
The incident took place at Agalpur Boys High School during the practice session. The javelin thrown by another student hit Meher in the neck. It got stuck in the student’s throat and he was taken to Bhima Bhoi Medical College and Hospital in Balangir. Doctors removed it safely from the neck. Meher is now admitted in the ICU of the hospital.
Expressing concern over the javelin accident in Balangir, CM @Naveen_Odisha has directed to provide all treatment to the injured student. CM wished the boy speedy recovery and announced that the expenses towards his treatment will be met from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.

Chief Minister and District Collector gave these instructions
The District Collector has ordered the officials to provide financial assistance to the student’s family. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed the officials to provide better treatment to the boy. He also said that the amount required for the treatment would be met from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
