Noida: Traffic diversions on THESE routes due to municipal elections

Uttar Pradesh: There is voting for the second and last phase of the municipal elections in Uttar Pradesh today. In this phase, people will vote for mayor in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Shahjahanpur, Bareilly, Aligarh, Kanpur, Ayodhya and Shahjahanpur. Keeping this in mind, some roads will remain closed in Noida. For this, the traffic police have issued an advisory.

In view of the security during polling, a heavy police force and PAC personnel have been deployed in the district. Along with this, a checking campaign will be conducted by barricading inter-state and inter-district routes. In order to increase the voting percentage, the district administration has given a holiday to all the offices and educational institutions in the district, as voting is going to be held today in five Nagar Panchayats in rural areas of Greater Noida, including Dadri Municipality.

The Noida traffic department has issued an advisory to ensure that there is no impact on the traffic system of the district and that the traffic remains smooth during polling.

Alternative routes

The traffic coming from Bulandshahr, Secunderabad and going towards Dankaur, Bilaspur from Kherli Canal Tiraha will be able to go ahead via the road in front of Gautam Budh University via Kasna town from Kherli Canal Tiraha.

Traffic going from Dankaur, Bilaspur via Kherli Canal towards Bulandshahr, Secunderabad will be able to go via Kasna town via Kherli Tiraha from the road in front of Gautam Buddha University.

Traffic coming from Khurja and going from Kasba Jewar Chowk towards Hamidpur, Jhuppa, Aligarh, Palwal etc. will be able to proceed via Khurja underpass towards Sabauta via Baithak Restaurant Chowk, Tehsil Tiraha and Jewar Chowk.

Traffic coming from Aligarh, Palwal and going from Jewar Chowk to Khurja will go through Jewar Chowk to Tehsil Tiraha, Baithak Restaurant Chowk, Sabauta Chowk to Khurja underpass.

Traffic coming from the Secunderabad side and going towards Container Depot, Surajpur via Kasba Dadri will bypass Shiv Nadar University Bypass Tiraha and move from Dhummanikpur Tiraha.

Traffic coming from Lalkua, Badalpur and going towards Container Depot, Surajpur via Kasba Dadri will be able to go towards the destination from Dhummanikpur Bypass Tiraha.
