New Delhi: A 10-year-old girl in Madhya Pradesh’s Satna was allegedly gang-raped by a few member of temple committee. The incident of sexual violence has sent shockwaves through the entire city. Meanwhile, the police have arrested two suspects in the matter.

The incident took place in Maihar city that is famous in its division for its temples. It is embarassing for the state that a minor was found in such a critical situation covered in blood.

Sexually Assaulted, Private Parts injured

She was immediately taken to the city hospital where she went under treatment. As per the information, the girl was sexually assaulted and the accused left teeth biting marks on her delicate body while her private parts were badly injured too.

After preliminary treatment, the doctors referred the minor to Rewa Medical College for better medical attention to the victim.

Two Booked Under POCSO Act 

Taking prompt action, the police took the two accused in custody who have been identified as Ravi Chaudhary and Atul Badholiya. The two were employees at the temple committee. The accused have been sent to the police custody after being booked under 366, 376 POSCO.

The girl is said to belong from Arkandi Basti under Maihar police station who went missing last Thursday afternoon. When she did not return her home, her family went to find her in the nearby areas.

She was later found on Friday in Dulha Dev area that was a kilometer away from her house. After which, an angry crowd headed towards the hospital where top officials were present and the situation remained under control.

Following the incident, the police also swung into action immediately to arrest the suspects. While the police arrested both the accused in the case, Atul Badholia and Ravi Chaudhary, employees of Maihar Sharda Management Committee, who have been prosecuted under Section 366, 376 and POCSO Act and have been sent to jail.
