New Delhi: During a routine medical checkup in a girls hostel, there was a stir as soon as a minor girl was revealed to be pregnant. The girl turned out to be 3 months old pregnant.

During interrogation of the girl, it was found that her 40-year-old cousin had sexually assaulted her. At present, the Child Welfare Committee is talking about abortion of the girl child. The complaint has been made in the women’s police station. The police has started taking further action.

The shocking incident is from Vidisha district in Madhya Pradesh. The accused was the aunt’s son of 13-year-old minor.

The victim who is in 7th class informed that her parents have died earlier. After her elder sister was married, she was sent to hostel.

Nearly two months ago when she came home, her 40 year old aunt’s son raped her continuously for a month. Her cousin assaulted her whenever she tried to protest and threatened her to kill.

Fearing which, she did not tell about the incident to anyone and came back to the hostel.

During a routine medical checkup in the girls hostel, the minor was revealed to be 3 months pregnant. The warden of the hostel informed the child welfare committee about this. When the team counseled the girl, she narrated her ordeal.

Regarding the matter, Additional SP Sameer Yadav said that action is being taken as per the rules. Meanwhile, the girl has been admitted to the district hospital Vidisha for abortion, as per media reports.
