New Delhi: In a shameful incident, two personnel of medical staff of a private nursing home gang-raped wife of a patient after giving the latter an injection due to which the latter fell asleep.

The incident took place in Bena village of Jamtara district in Jharkhand. As soon as the word spreaded in the area, villagers in a huge number gathered outside the nursing home to create a ruckus.

After which, the Jamtara police station reached the spot and took four people into custody. As per media reports, SDPO Anand Jyoti Minj told that all the accused have been sent to jail.

In her complaint to the police, the victim mentioned a person from Pagradih area was admitted to the nursing home on January 18 for a hernia operation. The doctor informed that the patient will have to stay in the hostel for next 5 days. Due to which, the victim also stayed with her wife.

Late on Sunday night, the patient compained of pain so he was given an injection which had put him to sleep. After which, two staff members forcefully gang-raped her.

The victim is being treated

The victim said that she tried to shout but the youths stuffed a cloth in her mouth. They also threatened her not to tell anyone about the incident and used caste-indicative abuses.

Jamtara police has detained a nurse, a doctor and two other personnel regarding the incident. Due to the deteriorating condition of the victim after the incident, she is being treated in a private hospital.
