Kolkata: West Bengal Congress spokesperson Kaustav Bagchi on Sunday was arrested from his residence for his alleged statement against West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC leader Mamata Banerjee.
According to the Police, a team from Burtolla police station conducted a raid at Bagchi’s Home at Barrackpore in North 24 Pargana district West Bengal early Morning and arrested him.
A complaint was registered against Congress Spokesperson Kaustav Bagchi at Burtolla Police Station for his alleged remark against the Chief Minister.
After the arrest, Police brought Baghchi to Burtolla Police station.
Police booked Bagchi under several sections of IPC including 120(B), 504 and 506 and others sections.
