Bengaluru: Several locals in Chikkaballapura district of Karnataka thrashed a Dalit boy after tying him to a pole over suspicion of theft. While begging for mercy, his mother was also assaulted by the accused.
As per News9, mother of the deceased alleged that the accused forced their way into house. They dragged the lady outside and assaulted her while questioning.
The victim was accused of stealing gold ornaments.

Accused people also hurled castiest remarks on the Dalit family and asked them to leave village.
The mother-son duo was admitted to hospital for treatment.
The police officials informed that the incident took place on Thursday in Kempadenahalli village in Chintamani taluk.

A case has been registered a case against 10 accused. They are booked under the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. Meanwhile, three people have been arrested so far.
The police has launched an investigation already and the efforts are being made to catch other accused involved in the matter.
Meanwhile, a counter FIR was also filed against the Dalit boy accusing him of stealing.
