New Delhi: A 45-year-old man in Hyderabad allegedly killed his 55-year-old girlfriend due to a financial conflict between the two and chopped her body parts to them store them in the fridge.
The police on Wednesday informed that the accused was arrested after the matter came in forth.
The matter was revealed after a sanitation worker found a severed head of a woman near the Musi River beside Teegalguda Road. As per media reports, the police have identified the woman as Yerram Anuradha Reddy from Dilshuknagar in Hyderabad.
In the preliminary investigation, the police found that accused Chandra Mohan was in a relationship with the victim for 15 years. The victim’s husband had seperated long ago after which she started living on the ground floor of Mohan’s house.
Dispute over 7 Lakh rupees
The police informed that the woman used to give money to needy ones on interest basis. Similarly, Mohan had taken 7 Lakh rupees from Reddy but never returened it.
However, the victim had requested him several times but he ignored, which caused the conflict between the two.
In the afternoon of May 12, Mohan and Reddy were indulged in a fight after which, the accused picked up a knife and ran it through victims chest and stomach. The woman succumbed to her injuries soon after.
Following the incident, Mohan bought two stone-cutting machines using which, he severed head of the victim and other parts. He stored legs and hands in the fridge.
The accused also brought incense sticks, perfumes and disinfectants to do away with the pungent smelll of the body parts. He also used Reddy’s phone to message the victim’s friend.
