Greater Noida: Contaminated drinking water in various city sectors has left thousands of people upset, leading to complaints on social media. The Greater Noida Authority is aware of the issue and assures that the matter is already being addressed, with ongoing work on the water pipeline to resolve it soon.

Harendra Bhati, a member of the Active Citizen team residing in the Beta-1 sector, reported that the drinking water in his area has been contaminated since morning, causing distress to thousands of residents. He has already lodged a complaint with the authorities about the issue.

He pointed out a similar issue in the Ita-1 sector of Greater Noida, where the drinking water has been contaminated. Hundreds of residents are affected, and the problem is attributed to a water pipeline issue. The authorities are actively working on resolving the pipeline problem, and they anticipate the issue to be resolved by evening. However, until then, thousands of people remain upset due to the water quality concern.

The authority is expected to complete the commissioning work of Gangajal in the next three months. Kapil Singh, Senior Manager of, the Drinking Water Department, Greater Noida Authority said, “As soon as the project is completed, Gangajal will be made available to the people in two phases. In the first phase, it will be made available in Greater Noida East after three months and in the second phase, the people of Greater Noida West will get the supply.”
