New Delhi: A shocking incident has come to light from Kanpur city of Uttar Pradesh where a woman allegedly burnt her husband’s face with acid after he raised question on her late arrival at midnight.
It is alleged that the couple got into a fight after the husband questioned her which triggered a fight between thw two. After which, the woman threw acid on her husband’s face. However, she has accused her husband of assault while being intoxicated.
The police has arrested the accused woman for allegedly throwing acid on husband’s face on January 28.
The victim named Dabboo Gupta is a resident of Koparganj area of Collectorganj police station area in Kanpur.

Narrating his ordeal, Dabboo Gupta, as per the media reports, said, “On Saturday, January 28, at 12:30, my wife reached home. I just asked where are you coming from in this late night? A fight started regarding this. When the wife beat me, I also beat her. This enraged her and brought acid kept in the bathroom and threw it on my face.”
Dabbu’s entire face got scorched due to acid. After this, he lodged a complaint against his wife at the Collectorganj police station. The police admitted Dabbu to Ursala Hospital.
On the other hand, while giving information about the case, Collectorganj police station in-charge Ram Gautam said that the accused wife Poonam was arrested on Sunday evening. The case is being investigated.
According to the report, when the police interrogated the people of Dabbu’s locality, it was found that he was a drug addict. The woman took the extreme step after being frustrated.

On investigation, the police has also received information that there used to be fights and quarrels between the two. Due to the antics of the husband, the wife also used to act arbitrarily.
