Greater Noida: In the case of Pakistani Seema Haider entering India via Nepal, significant action has been taken. Both an SSB inspector and a jawan responsible for security at the Indo-Nepal border have been suspended due to negligence while on duty. They had checked the bus in which Seema Haider and her four children were travelling, but the investigation was not conducted properly, allowing her to enter India despite being a Pakistani. After crossing the Nepal border, Seema Haider settled in Greater Noida with her children.
On 13th May, Inspector Sujit Kumar Verma and Head Constable Chandra Kamal Kalita from SSB’s 43rd Battalion inspected the bus in question. However, they carelessly allowed Seema Haider to proceed. Both of them will remain suspended until the investigation into the Seema Haider case is completed, and a full court process will be initiated against them. It’s worth noting that the Border Security Force (SSB) is a paramilitary force under the Union Ministry of Home Affairs responsible for guarding the 1751-kilometre-long Indo-Nepal International Line in the eastern parts of the country.
About Seema Haider
On May 13, 2023, Seema Haider arrived in Greater Noida via the Nepal border. She lived with Sachin Meena in Rabupura for about one and a half months. However, on July 1, 2023, both Seema and Sachin fled from Rabupura and made their way to Mathura. On the night of July 2, 2023, the Greater Noida Police apprehended both of them, and they were subsequently presented before the court and sent to jail.
Seema’s counsel presented the necessary documents before the Jewar Civil Court, resulting in Seema, her husband Sachin, Sachin’s father Netrapal, and Seema’s four children being granted bail on July 7, 2023. The court specified that Seema Haider must not leave Rabupura under any circumstances. Since then, the authorities have been conducting extensive questioning of Seema and Sachin’s family. At present, Seema Haider is suspected to be a Pakistani spy, but there is no official confirmation yet.
