New Delhi: The Upward ramp connecting Sarai Kale Khan to Ashram Flyover, Delhi is now set to open for the public, soon, as the Public Works Department completes its construction work. The ramp will make traffic movement easy from Sarai Kale Khan to Lajpat Nagar while connecting the main flyover.

The six-lane flyover, which is being built at a cost of Rs 128 crore, would offer signal-free movement to vehicles travelling between Delhi and Noida, bringing much-needed relief to commuters going through the crowded Ashram intersection.

The ramp leading to Sarai Kale Khan was opened for traffic flow shortly after its inauguration, however, the one leading from Sarai Kale Khan to the main flyover was not open to the public until recently, following several delays.

The officials said, “The work is almost complete. We are now giving the finishing touches and there are minor works on the road that will be carried out as soon as there is a break from the rain. We hope to open the ramp to traffic soon.”
