Delhi Weather Update: Scorching Heat And Clear Skies Expected Today; Check Forecast For Next 5 Days

An Air Quality Index of 151 under the ‘moderate’ category was recorded at 6 am on Friday, March 21, 2025, compared to a slightly higher AQI of 153 recorded yesterday, according to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).

Delhi Weather Update: Since Holi, the weather in the national capital has stayed mild, providing some respite to the citizens. As the week draws closer to an end, temperatures are expected to rise steadily across Delhi/NCR. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) observed a rise in minimum and maximum temperatures across the city during the past 24 hours. The Met Body predicts a clear sky today, on March 21, 2025. Northwesterly winds blowing with a speed of less than 18 Kmph was recorded during the past 24 hours.

Weather Forecast For Next 5 Days

The Met Body predicts a clear sky in Delhi/NCR on the 22nd, 23rd, 24th, 25th, and 26th of March. Residents will witness bright and sunny skies next week till Wednesday. The maximum temperatures are likely to stay between 32 to 34 degrees Celsius from March 21 to March 25. Temperatures may sour up to 36 degrees Celsius on 25th and 26th March. However, the minimum temperatures are expected to remain between 16-18 degrees Celsius in the coming days. IMD forecasts warmer days in Delhi, with temperatures rising significantly.

According to IMD, a Western Disturbance seen as a trough is likely to affect Northwest India in the coming days, marking a significant shift in the atmospheric conditions. The Met Department also forecasts an upper air cyclonic circulation brewing over Southwest Rajasthan & neighbourhoods extending up to 3.1 Km above mean sea level persists. Additionally, a fresh Western Disturbance will affect the Western Himalayan Region from the night of 24th March 2025.

The Maximum and Minimum temperatures on Thursday were recorded in the range of 32 to 35°C and 15 to 17°C, respectively. The minimum temperatures remained below normal by 01-03°C and maximum temperatures above normal by 02-04°C over most places across the city.
