Delhi Weather Update: IMD Predicts Rising Mercury And Clear Skies; Check Temperature Forecast

The air quality in the national capital continues to remain in the ‘moderate’ category. On Thursday, at 6 am the AQI was recorded at 153, according to the CPCB.

Delhi Weather Update: Delhi residents will witness partly cloudy sky on Thursday with strong surface winds during the day. The maximum and minimum temperatures will remain 34 and 26 degrees Celsius respectively. Days in the national capital have turned warmer with rise in maximum temperatures. According to the India Meteorological Department’s observation, there has been fall in minimum temperatures and rise maximum temperatures over Delhi-NCR during the past 24 hours. The Mercury is expected to rise further this week, touching 36 degrees Celsius. No other specific warning regarding today’s (20 March) weather has been issued by the IMD.

Delhi Warms Up, Mercury Rises

The weather in Delhi is currently undergoing a transition, with days becoming warmer. Cold spell in the national capital has ended and the weather has now become milder. Temperature has started rising, reaching above 30 degrees Celsius. The IMD in its press release stated that the maximum and minimum temperatures are currently in the range of 31 to 35°C and 14 to 16°C respectively. This data indicates a rise in maximum temperatures, which is expected to increase further by the end of March. Other parts of the country like Odisha, Gujarat, Kerala have already started to experience heat wave.

Delhi Weather Update: Temperature Forecast

Delhi will witness clear sky from Friday, 21st March. It is expected to remain in the same condition till 25th March. The maximum temperature is expected to remain between 32-34 degrees Celsius from 21st March to 25th March. The IMD has predicted 36 degrees Celsius maximum temperature on 25th and 26th March. The minimum temperature in coming days will remain between 16-18 degrees Celsius. The data indicates that warmer days are ahead for Delhi, with temperatures expected to rise significantly this week. Forecast by the IMD shows no chances of precipitation in Delhi this week.
