Delhi Weather Update: Relief From Heat This Week! IMD Predicts Rain And Drop In Temperature – Check Forecast

The maximum temperature is currently in the range of 36 to 37°C. The IMD has further predicted fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C during next 3 days in the national capital.

Delhi residents are set to get relief from the scorching heat, with a drop in maximum temperatures and rainfall predicted in the coming days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm with rain and lightning on May 1, 2 and 3. It noted that there has been an appreciable fall in maximum temperature over Delhi during the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature is currently in the range of 36 to 37°C. The IMD has further predicted fall in maximum temperatures by 2-3°C during next 3 days in the national capital.

Forecast For Wednesday, April 30

Talking about how the weather will be on Wednesday, April 30, the IMD forecast tells of partly cloudy sky. The maximum temperature will remain 37 degrees Celsius with humidity level of 53 per cent. Strong surface winds with speed of 20-30 km/h will prevail over the national capital. No heatwave alert has been issued for the capital today, indicating relatively pleasant weather.

Forecast For Coming Days

The weather forecast for coming days shows rainfall and maximum temperature in the range of 36-38 degrees Celsius. Generally cloudy sky, very light rain/drizzle, thunderstorm/Lightning/duststorm accompanied with sustained surface winds speed 30-40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph have been forecasted on May 1, 2 and 3. Furthermore, thundershowers/ rain with gusty winds are expected on May 4 and 5. The IMD forecast, therefore indicates a brief period of relief for the residents, with no heatwave condition and fall in maximum temperature.

Partly cloudy sky condition will remain until May 5, while strong surface winds have been forecast on all the days of the week. There is little relief for residents, as IMD has ruled out heatwave condition this week and issued no alert for it.
