Delhi Weather Update: Residents To Get Relief From Scorching Heat; Rain Expected This Week – Check Forecast

The maximum temperature is currently in the range of 39 to 40°C. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect Western Himalayan region from May 2 and Delhi is likely to witness shift in weather pattern due to its influence.

Delhi: Delhi’s weather is set to undergo major changes this week, with a yellow alert issued on May 2 and 3. Due to these changes, residents will get brief respite from the scorching heat. Hot and humid conditions along with rain, thunderstorm and lightning are expected for most days this week (April 29-May 4). April will end with a maximum temperature of around 40 degrees Celsius. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there has been no large change in maximum temperatures over Delhi during the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature is currently in the range of 39 to 40°C. A fresh Western Disturbance is expected to affect Western Himalayan region from May 2 and Delhi is likely to witness shift in weather pattern due to its influence.

Forecast For Today, April 29

Talking about how the weather will be on Tuesday, April 29, the IMD forecast tells us of a hot day with a maximum temperature of 40 degrees Celsius. The sky will remain partly cloudy with thundery development towards evening. Occasional sustained surface winds with speed of 10-20 km/h is likely to prevail over the national capital. A maximum humidity level of 44% has been forecast for today. No heatwave alert has been issued by the IMD for today, so residents can expect a relatively cool weather.

This was all about today’s weather, let’s have a look at weather forecast for the remainder of the days.

The IMD has issued a yellow alert for thunderstorm with rain on May 2 and 3. Generally cloudy sky with very light Rain/drizzle, thunderstorm/ lightning accompanied with sustained surface winds 30-40 kmph gusting to 50 kmph have been predicted on both the days. The maximum temperature is likely to remain in the range of 37-39 degrees Celsius this week.

May 5: 39°C

Partly cloudy sky condition will remain until May 5, while strong surface winds have been forecast on all the days of the week. There is little relief for residents, as IMD has ruled out heatwave condition this week and issued no alert for it.
