New Delhi: The national capital will get a mega industrial area of about 1200 acres, which was approved by Governor VK Sexsena. The project will be developed in northwest Delhi’s Kanjhawala and another 300-acre industrial area in west Delhi’s Baprola. The area will be developed by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC).
The upcoming project in Kanjhawala will be the biggest industrial cluster in Delhi and it will boost industrial development as well and attract industry giants to the city.
The DSIIDC will now notify Kanjhawala as an industrial area under the Delhi Industrial Development, Operation, and Maintenance (DIDOM) Act, following the consent of the LG.

The industrial area is anticipated to attract businesses from a variety of industries, including information technology, food processing, media, electronics, telecommunications, textiles, electrical products and appliances, automobiles, furniture, fixtures, and machinery, among others.
The DSIIDC owns 137.63 acres in Baprola, with just 55.20 acres designated for “industrial” usage. Saxena requested that the state industries department first alter the land use to industrial. As a result, the remaining 82.43 acres of land use must be altered and notified as “industrial” by the DDA in MPD 2021.
