Dalit Prerna Sthal forbids conducting marriages, parties after Yogi Adityanath expressed dissatisfaction over memorial committee’s decision
Noida: No marriage or party will be possible at Dalit Prerna Sthal located banks of the Noida Expressway because Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed dissatisfaction over this decision, after which the committee had to withdraw its decision. Although the memorial committee board had decided that marriages and parties could take place at Dalit Prerna Sthal.
Dalit Prerna Sthal was inaugurated by former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and BSP chief Mayawati. Dalit Prerna Sthal was built on the banks of the Noida Expressway during Mayawati's rule. It was inaugurated on October 14, 2011. According to the received reports, more than 1,000 people come to it daily.
There is also a mini-museum in the National Dalit Prerna Sthal, located in Noida. It is built on 33 acres of land. It has huge statues of Saint Kabir, Bhimrao Ambedkar, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj, Jyotiba Phule, Kashiram, and Mayawati. Apart from this, elephants and horses have also been installed. According to the report, the cost of making this Dalit Maidan was about Rs 680 crore.
