Chennai Metro Rail on Saturday informed that CMRL WhatsApp ticketing bot is facing technical glitch and is temporarily not working. The metro corporation has asked the passengers to get the tickets through other online platforms. They have regretted the inconvenience caused due to technical issue. Chennai Metro Rail wrote on X, “Due to technical issue of WhatsApp partners, CMRL WhatsApp ticketing bot is temporarily not working. Passengers are requested to avail metro tickets through other online platforms. We regret the inconvenience caused.”
Till the time WhatsApp ticketing service is restored, passengers can consider options like Metro travel card, mobile QR code ticketing, Paytm, PhonePe, tokens and NCMC Card etc.
