Amritsar: In a heart-wrenching incident in Punjab’s Amritsar, a father first killed his own 16-year-old daughter, then tied the dead body to the back of a motorcycle and paraded it in the entire village. Later, he threw a dead body on the railway line. 

Acording to police, the father, Nihang Dalbir Singh, is absconding now and an investigation into the matter has been started.  The matter is being told of honor killing. 

The incident took place in Muchhal village of Tangra situated on Beas Road. The father used to doubt the character of his daughter. Meanwhile, the daughter was missing from home for two days. During this, the family members searched for her a lot she was not found.

Meanwhile, on Thursday afternoon, the daughter suddenly returned home after which the angry father killed the daughter with a sharp weapon on sight and tied the dead body to the back of the motorcycle, and paraded it around the village. 

According to the GRP station in charge, a case has been registered at Tarsikka police station against the girl’s father Nihang Dalbir Singh 

The grandmother of the deceased said that her granddaughter had gone somewhere and when she came back, she was murdered by her father. The CCTV of the incident is in possession of the police and raids have been started in search of the accused.
