New Delhi: A 20-year-old woman was found hanged from a tree in a village of Bihar’s Sheikhpura on Monday. The family of the deceased has accused the in-laws and husband of the woman behind the crime.
The woman has been identified as a resident of Rampur village, Ranju Kumari who was the daughter of Ramdev Chauhan, reported Dainik Bhaskar.
As per media reports, Rishabh Yadav, the police sub-inspector of Arari police station informed that the girl had a love marriage with Subhash Kumar, son of Indal Chauhan, a resident of Farpar village. The girl has been living with her in-laws since then.
The villagers informed that they saw the dead body hanging from a tree in west Khandha from Farpar village when they were heading towards their fields.
Following a crowd of villagers gathered around the dead body. A police team reached the spot and recovered the dead body as soon as the information was received.
Family Protested
The police have seized the dead body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem amid an outrage from the family.
Parents of the victim was stopping the police to seize th body demanding for justice. They are adamant on demanding the immediate arrest of the accused.
