Coming Soon! Direct Train Service From Kempegowda Airport To Bengaluru; Here’s How It Will Benefit Commuters

Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw mentioned that there are few technical challenges that needs to be considered before the services can be launched. He added that the Railway team is working to resolves those issues.

There is a good news for Bangaloreans, as they will soon be able to get a direct train service connecting Kempegowda International Airport with Bengaluru. Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday announced that the Ministry would introduce a direct service connecting the airport with Bengaluru.

He mentioned that there are few technical challenges that needs to be considered before the services can be launched. Vaishnaw added that the Railway team is working to resolves those issues.

Vaishnaw further stated that at present people have access to the International airport by Metro Rail, road and K-Ride. “Apart from Metro Rail, road, and K-RIDE, we are also working on creating a railway connection to the airport,” added the Railways Minister.

He also spoke about his train journey between the airport and the city. He called it a comfortable ride but agreed to technical issues encountered midway. Vaishnaw said, “It was a comfortable 40 to 45-minute ride. However, there were some technical issues, particularly the need for a rail flyover. The team has now completed the necessary work and presented the concept to me today.”

He added that the upcoming train service will bring significant relief to the people.

How Will It Benefit Commuters?

The direct train service will benefit the commuters by provider faster and easier way to reach the airport. It will reduce travel-time and save the commuters from road traffic during the peak hours.  Furthermore, it will provide the commuters with budget-friendly travel options and improved accessibility.
