Bengaluru: 22-Year-Old MA Student Found Dead In Her Hostel Room, Suicide Note Reveals…

A medical examination was conducted at Victoria Hospital and the body was handed over to the deceased student's family members, reports added. Police have launched an investigation into the matter to find out the exact cause of her death.

Bengaluru: In a shocking incident that unfolded on Monday, February 4, 2025, the body of a postgraduate student at Bangalore University was reportedly found in her hostel room. Police informed they recovered a suicide note from the 22-year-old student’s possession. Reports revealed that the deceased, a first-year MA student, was a resident of Bengaluru’s Mysuru district.

What Happened?

According to Jnanabharathi Police Inspector N Ravi, the deceased student returned to her hostel after leaving a college event midway. Police recovered the body later when her friends discovered she was unresponsive and informed them.

The inspector said, “We recovered a note next to her. She apologized to her parents in her suicide note and also mentioned she was cheated upon by someone she trusted.” A medical examination was conducted at Victoria Hospital and the body was handed over to the deceased student’s family members, reports added. Police have launched an investigation into the matter to find out the exact cause of her death. In addition, a case of unnatural death report (UDR) has been filed at the Police Station.
