Vistara’s Last Day: A long planned farewell finally takes place, the Vistara Airline set off on a final good bye today. The full service airline won hearts with the kind of premium services and warm gesture it provided to its passengers. It will operate for a final time today before it merges with the Air India Airline.
The Vistara Airline is joint venture between Tata Sons holding 51% and Singapore Airline owning 49% stake. The merger of Vistara is a strategic move by Tata Group to refine the airline business. The joint venture of Tata Group and Singapore Airlines will now be a consolidated Air India entity. Singapore Airlines will retain 25.1% stakes in the venture now.
Vistara’s Last Day: What will change for the passenger after today?

The Air India Airlines is set to accommodate all the passengers of Vistara Airlines. It is trying it’s best to keep up with the spirit of Vistara. These help desks will provide passengers with all the information about their flights, check-in procedures, and other services. At the international airports, there will be proper signs to guide passengers to the correct check-in areas for Air India. Along with this, the Vistara customer contact center will now route calls to Air India’s call centers; this will help all the passengers resolve any queries.
All the passengers who are accustomed to Vistara’s flight codes, they will see an evident change which will be in codes of the flight. A Vistara flight previously designated as UK 955 will now operate under the code AI 2955.
For All The Loyalty Program Members
Vistara’s customers who are its loyalty program members will be smoothly transition into Air India’s Loyalty program members, this will give customers to access Air India’s broader network and benefits, including the benefits they had in Vistara Airline.
- For current Flying Returns members:
- If you already are a Flying Returns member, you will be able to authorize Air India to transfer your data from Club Vistara. This ensures Club Vistara benefits on Air India account.
- For new Flying Returns members:
- If you do not have any Flying Returns Accounts yet, Air India will create one for you with all the benefits included. It will use your details from Club Vistara account to set up your new account.
