UIDAI Free Facility: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made it mandatory for all Aadhaar card holders that they should update their documents at in Aadhaar Centres at least once every ten years from the date of enrollment to maintain the accuracy of their data.

UIDAI has launched the facility of free updation of Aadhaar card documents for the netizens to streamline the process. The free updation of Aadhaar card documents of UIDAI has been extended. Now, netizens can update their Aadhaar documents without any charges till September 30, while the previous deadline was June 14.

The free facility is exclusively available on the myAadhaar portal. However, if you go to Aadhaar centers and get the work done, a fee of Rs 100 will be charged.

How to use free service online?

People can avail the free service by logging in to https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/portal using their Aadhaar number. A One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to the registered mobile number.

Also, users can go to ‘Document Update’, verify their information and upload documents to re-verify their information.

To avail the facility, proof of identity and address has to be submitted on the official website.

If you are not tech savvy, then you can do avail this service offline as well. Visit your nearby Aadhar centre and update your document for free. The employees at the Aadhaar Centres are user friendly and without any hassle and any fee you can easily update your document.
