New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) on Tuesday announced the addition of a new facility, allowing residents to verify their mobile numbers and Email IDs linked with their Aadhaar.
Citizens of India can now link their Emails by logging on to the official website of UIDAI and tapping under the ‘Verify email/mobile Number’ feature or through myAadhaar App.
The amendment came after the Aadhaar custodian saw that in some situations, residents kept getting confused about which of their mobile phones was linked to their Aadhaar. Thinking that their OTP might be going to some other mobile number, the Ministry thought of this change.
